About the Role

We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to take ownership of accounting operations across a portfolio of consumer brand clients. This is a highly visible, client-facing role for someone who enjoys working across multiple businesses, solving complex problems, and building clean, scalable processes.

You'll act as a trusted accounting partner to our clients while helping maintain FINNess high standards for accuracy, process, and GAAP compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily accounting activities across a portfolio of consumer brands at different growth stages
• Take full ownership of the month-end close cycle, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate, GAAP-compliant financials within NetSuite (Recruited) while continuously improving systems and workflows
• Establish and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support scalability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure proper inventory tracking and valuation
• Assist with audits, tax preparation, investor requests, and other ad hoc initiatives
• Manage inventory accounting across complex supply chains, including COGS, landed costs, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition across multiple sales channels (Amazon, Shopify, DTC, wholesale)
• Provide guidance to junior team members and help drive firm-wide process improvements

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within CPG, retail, consumer goods, or e-commerce environments
• Strong NetSuite experience required (inventory and multi-entity exposure highly preferred)
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, inventory costing, and revenue recognition principles
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, basic modeling)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple clients and priorities
• Experience in a client-facing, outsourced accounting, or advisory setting is a plus
